Do you have a concussion?
When it comes to a traumatic brain injury, the signs and symptoms of a concussion can be subtle and may not show up immediately. A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that results from a violent jolt, bump, or blow to the head that disrupts normal brain function.
We were in a terrible accident and Stridewell got us in to see their PA in 48 hours. My husband, me and my daughter all at one time. They were so kind, professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to everyone. I can't say enough good things.
The Stridewell staff is very friendly, considerate and efficient medical office I have been to. They got me right in to see a PA, gave me a full exam, addressed all my needs and made me feel like they genuinely cared about me. I highly recommend Jaclyn, the staff and Stridewell.
I thoroughly appreciate the professional care that I have received here . Jaclyn Schroeder was very professional and managed to communicate with me without any language barrier which was nice because I don't understand any medical terminology. I absolutely trust in their care and that's a big deal in these uncertain times. Thanks stridewell !
YOU MAY EXPERIENCE OR OBSERVE THESE SIGNS IN A CONCUSSED INDIVIDUAL:
- Blurry Vision
- Ringing in the ears
- Amnesia surrounding the event
- Feelings of confusion
- Dazed appearance
- Delayed response to questions
- Slurred speech
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, it is important to undergo a neurological exam. This exam will check your balance, coordination, strength, hearing, vision, reaction to light, and neurological function and reflexes.
Once a baseline test is established, we can track the progress of improvement. By utilizing a post-concussion assessment and ImPACT test, we can document brain function and track the progression of improvement. All of this is done for you by our ImPACT certified physician.
